Online Sex Therapy & Couples Counseling in New York.

Feeling like roommates instead of partners? Couples therapy can change that. Improve your relationship with yourself, your partner, and your sexuality.

Sex Therapy in New York: A Different Kind of Specialized Care

New York has more therapists per square mile than almost anywhere in the country. That abundance can make it feel like finding the right one should be easy — and yet so many people spend months cycling through providers who aren't quite the right fit, especially when the issue is sexual or relational. AASECT certification in sex therapy isn't something you pick up at a weekend workshop. It requires years of supervised clinical training specifically focused on sexuality, and there are relatively few of us nationwide.

New York clients often come to me already self-aware, already in therapy for other things, already familiar with the vocabulary. What they're looking for isn't psychoeducation — they don't need someone to explain what desire is. They need a specialist who can go deeper, who knows the clinical literature, who has worked through these issues with hundreds of clients, and who won't treat their sexuality as a side note in a broader treatment plan.

There's also a particular kind of exhaustion that comes with living and working at New York's pace — the way stress accumulates, the way intimacy gets deprioritized, the way two people can share a life and still feel completely alone in it. That's not a personal failing. It's something we can actually work on.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Do you offer in-person sessions in New York?

A: All sessions are online via telehealth. This makes specialized care accessible statewide — without the cost, commute, or logistical complexity of in-person therapy.

Q: Do you take insurance?

A: I am an out-of-network provider. Many clients use their out-of-network benefits or FSA/HSA accounts. I provide superbills for insurance reimbursement upon request.

Q: What are your fees?

A: My fees for a 90-minute couple’s intake are $360, a 55-minute individual intake is $225, and all subsequent sessions (couples OR individual) are $225.

Q: Are you licensed to see clients in this state?

A: Yes. I hold licensure to practice in both New York and North Carolina as well as across 40+ states via PsyPact.

Q: How long does therapy take?

A: Many clients experience meaningful shifts within 6–10 sessions. Others prefer longer-term work or even intensives. You're always in control of the pace and duration of our work together.

Whether you're recovering from betrayal, navigating a sexless marriage, or simply feeling stuck, couples therapy creates space to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and build a stronger foundation for your relationship. Couples therapy isn't about assigning blame—it's about learning how to communicate differently, respond with intention, and rebuild a partnership that feels secure, connected, and resilient.

Through our work together, we’ll set the foundation for connection and growth for each person in the relationship and the relationship as a whole.
