Rebuild emotional & sexual connection—online couples & sex therapy nationwide.
I’m Dr. Anna Smith (she/her/hers), a Licensed Psychologist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. I offer online couples, sex, and relationship therapy for people who want deeper intimacy, more honest communication, and relationships that feel good.
Imagine experiencing the safety, connection, and pleasure you've been longing for— I can help you achieve fewer struggles, greater closeness, and amazing sex. Let’s talk.
You’re in the right place.
You might be here because something in your relationship — or your inner world — feels off.
On the outside, things may look fine.
But inside your relationship, or inside yourself, there’s distance, tension, or disconnection.
Maybe:
Conversations turn into conflict or shutdown
Sex feels pressured, avoided, or nonexistent
You and your partner feel more like roommates than lovers
Desire feels mismatched or confusing
You feel lonely, even while partnered
You’re struggling to work through internal confusion, ambivalence, or uncertainty
You’re questioning patterns or aspects of your relationships, sexuality, or identity
You’re trying to work through past experiences or trauma and how that shows up today
You care deeply.
You want things to feel better.
You don’t want surface-level advice or quick fixes.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what’s happening underneath the patterns, and create meaningful change in how you relate — emotionally and sexually.
What I offer:
Individual Therapy
For individuals wanting to explore relationship patterns, sexuality, identity, or emotional connection with themselves and others.
Couples Therapy
For partners who feel stuck in conflict, distant from one another, or want to rebuild emotional and sexual intimacy.
Sex Therapy
Support for desire differences, intimacy challenges, sexual anxiety, shame, or wanting a more connected and satisfying erotic life — individually or with a partner.
Intensives
Concentrated, intentional focus dedicated to making progress in a shorter amount of time so you can create new patterns of connection and start healing relational disconnect.
How I Work:
I work with people who care deeply about their relationships but feel stuck — emotionally, sexually, or both. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware individuals and couples who want more than surface-level advice. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct.
In our work together, we will:
unpack the patterns that keep you stuck in conflict or disconnection
talk openly about sex, desire, and intimacy without shame
explore attachment, vulnerability, and emotional safety
develop new ways of communicating and relating
reconnect with your own desires, needs, and sense of self
Therapy with me is thoughtful, engaged, and deeply relational — a space where you can feel both supported and gently challenged. You can read more about me here.
What to Expect:
Your first step is easy and zero-pressure.
Step 1: Free Consultation
Schedule a quick 20 minute call (or jump straight into an intake if you’re ready). We’ll make sure we’re a good fit and answer any last questions.
Step 2: Your First Session
In our first full session (55 minutes for individuals, 90 minutes for couples) we’ll:
Talk about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to change
Get to know your story at whatever pace feels comfortable
Create a clear, gentle plan together
You don’t have to have everything figured out. Most people leave that first session feeling lighter because they finally have a safe, non-judgmental space to talk about the things they’ve been carrying alone.
Step 3: Ongoing Sessions
All sessions are virtual, HIPAA-secure, and held on a schedule that works for your life. We move at your pace—some weeks we go deep into patterns or intimacy, other weeks we celebrate small wins. You’ll always know where we are in the process and what we’re working toward.
Many clients notice meaningful shifts within the first 6 sessions. Others choose longer-term work or an Intensive for faster momentum. Either way, you’re in control the whole time.

Online therapy available across the United States.
One of the things I love most about building a telehealth-only practice is that geography doesn't have to be a barrier to great care. Through PsyPact — a multi-state licensure compact for psychologists — I'm authorized to provide telehealth services to clients in more than 40 states.
If you're looking for an online sex therapist or couples counselor, you deserve someone who is genuinely specialized — not just geographically convenient. Telehealth makes it possible to work with the therapist who's actually the best fit for your concerns, regardless of where you live.
